Strong’s by-law does not set out what each fire danger rating allows, so this page cannot tell you whether today is a burning day. Today’s rating is beside this, and the fire hall below has the answer.

Complete the 'Open Air Burning Fire Permit' application form (posted on the Fire Permits and Open Air Burning page).
Submit the completed application to the Township Administration Office in person at 28 Municipal Lane, Sundridge, or return it by email to deputyclerk@strongtownship.com.
Pay the $5.00 permit fee.
Post the permit at the location of the telephone nearest the fire.
Burn only from 2 hours before sunset to 2 hours after sunrise, April 1 – October 31. No permit is required November 1 – March 31.
s. 3.1 — Permit required
No person shall set a fire without first obtaining a Fire Permit
s. 3.2 — Permitted hours / season
No person shall set a fire out of doors...Two (2) hours after sunrise and Two (2) Hours before sunset from April 1 to October 31
s. 3.3 — Setback
No person shall set a fire within six (6) meters of any dwelling and/or structure
s. 3.8 — Wind speed
No open air fire shall be set...when the wind is greater than 20 km/h
s. 3.12 — Fire size
No person shall have a fire larger than 2 cubic meters at any one time
s. 2.1(a)(ii) — Fee
A Fee of Five ($5.00) shall be paid for the permit
s. 2.1(a)(iii) — Validity
Fire Permits shall be granted for a seven (7) days per permit

Small recreational fires (camp fire) does not require a permit, however all burning regulations must be followed.
