Attend the Municipal Office at 250 Clark Street, Powassan in person — Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm (closed Wednesdays).
Complete and sign the fire permit application; only the property owner may sign. Renters must supply written permission from the property owner.
Choose permit type: Recreational (settlement and rural areas) or Non-Recreational (rural areas only); Agricultural and Fireworks permits also available.
Pay the applicable fee at the office.
Have required equipment at the burn site: a spade shovel, rake, two two-gallon water pails, and a charged garden hose.
Observe conditions: permit not valid if wind exceeds 15 km/h; non-recreational burning only 6pm–1am; burn only clean dry wood or yard waste (no garbage).
