Comply with the City's residential burning guidelines (15 km/hr wind limit, 7:00pm-midnight burn window per the guidelines page).
Permit required (Section 3.1(a))
No person shall: a) Start or conduct an open air burning within the boundaries of the Corporation of the City of Timmins unless an appropriate permit has been granted by the Fire Chief or other authorized employee or agent of the City.
Weather/wind conditions (Section 3.1(c)-(d))
No person shall: c) Permit burning on days where rain, fog, or any other weather condition prevents proper dispersion of smoke. d) Permit burning during high winds, or high hazard ratings.
Material restriction (Section 3.1(b))
No person shall: b) Burn material other than commercially produced charcoal, briquettes or clean, dry seasoned wood.
Fees deferred to User Fee By-law (Section 4.1)
All fees shall be in accordance with the Corporation of the City of Timmins User Fee By-Law.
