Obtain a Burning Permit per Schedule A and keep it and its terms and conditions at the burn site.
Setback amendment (Sections 1-2 of 1309-19)
That section 4. d) be amended to read "Recreational burning shall be confined to a location that provides for a minimum distance of 9 metres (29.5 feet) in all directions from adjacent properties." That section 4. f) be amended to read "Recreational burning shall be confined to a location that provides for a minimum distance of 9 metres (29.5 feet) in all directions from combustible structures or objects."
Daylight hours and supervision (Schedule B)
All open air burning must be done during daylight hours. The fire is tended by at least one (1) responsible adult until out and that person has adequate knowledge, tools and water to contain the fire.
Wind speed, restricted fire ban and smog alert prohibition, recreational burning (Schedule B)
Recreational burning is not permitted when the wind speed exceeds 30 kilometers per hour, during a restricted fire ban, or when a smog alert has been declared by the Ministry of Environment.

Open air burning is not permitted when the wind speed exceeds 30 kilometers per hour, during a restricted fire ban, or when a smog alert has been declared by the Ministry of Environment or when the Natural Resources Canada fire danger rating is greater than low.
Incinerator requirements (Schedule B)
All burning must be in an enclosed device. Incinerator burning must be conducted during daylight hours. At least 9 meters (29.5 ft) from any forest area. At least 9 meters (29.5 ft) from any flammable materials. Covered by mesh less than 5 millimeters (0.19 in) in size.
