Coleman’s by-law does not set out what each fire danger rating allows, so this page cannot tell you whether today is a burning day. Today’s rating is beside this, and the fire hall below has the answer.

A rating is not permission. Coleman requires a permit, and a fire ban can be declared at any time. Coleman Township Office decides — not this page.
3 days (per permit form: 'Valid 3 days')
Obtain a fire permit from the Coleman Township office (except for fires solely for warmth/cooking)
Permit valid 3 days and not valid 8am-6pm.
No permits July-August (Section 2)
No fire permits shall be issued for the months of July, and August in the Township.
Burning hours (Section 3)
No fires shall be set out of doors in the Township between the hours of 8:00 a.m. o'clock in the morning and 6:00 p.m. o'clock in the evening during the months of April through to October in each year.
Permit required (Section 4)
No person shall set out fires in open air without first obtaining a fire permit from the Coleman Township office with the exception of fires for obtaining warmth and cooking.
Prohibited materials (Section 5)
No person shall set any fire out of doors to burn, or shall burn out of doors, in the Township any kitchen garbage, construction materials or materials made of/or containing rubber, plastic or tar.
Supervision (Section 6)
No person shall set any fire out of doors in the Township except in the presence of a competent adult person and this person shall be in constant attendance of any burning operation as to prevent same from spreading to or endangering other property. The permit holder shall be in constant attendance of any burning operation.
Minimum clearance (Section 11)
The minimum clearance for setting a fire must be three (3) meters from buildings and combustibles.
Fire ban / fireworks (Section 12)
No person shall set any fire or fireworks for any reason when there is a Ministry of Natural Resources and/or Township of Coleman fire ban in place.
Penalty (Section 13)
Every person who contravenes any provisions of this by-law is guilty of an offence against this by-law and, upon conviction therefore be subject to a fine of not more than two thousand ($2,000) dollars plus costs and every fine is recoverable under the Provincial Offenses Act.

1. The permittee shall keep the permit at the site of the burning operation conducted under the permit ... 3. This permit is not valid between 8:00a.m. and 6:00 p.m. local time of any given day. 4. The amount to be burned shall not exceed one (1) pile (approximately 3 meters square). 5. The permitee shall have at the location of the fire two (2) persons, one being an adult (18/ years old) and firefighting equipment in serviceable conditions: two (2) shovels, a hose, a pail and a water source. ** BURNING TO BE DONE ONLY IF THERE IS "NO" WIND (CALM)**
